On Monday CJI showed his disappointment overusing mobile phones by advocates for attending the virtual hearings. The apex court notified rules for virtual hearing and requested lawyers to use laptops/desktops in place of mobile phones.

The court requested advocates and parties of the case to join the CISCO WEBEX application for joining the court virtual hearing, for better internet connection it’s requested to have wired connectivity of internet. This will avoid disruption and create less inconvenience for judges.

It’s good if the advocate and party of the case join from the single device and enable their audio device and use earphones for audio.

They should close the entire app and other things working in the background while attending the virtual hearing.

The bench consists of three Judges Chief Justice of India N V Ramana, Justice A S Bopanna and Justice Hima Kohli complained about the inconvenience that take place during the virtual hearing as in multiple cases the sound isn’t audible and the party or advocate isn’t visible.

The apex court requested lawyers and parties to follow the directions notified by the court for a better experience of virtual hearing.
