In Bar Council of India vs Twinkle Rahul Mangonkar, the apex court held that they accepted the opinion of amicus curie of court Senior advocate Vishwanathan which was that persons engaged in any profession other than litigation can provisionally enrolled as an advocate with the concerned bar council and can appear in all India bar council examination. If they passed the exam they will be provided with the time of 6 months to decide whether they want to continue with the litigation or other employment.
The court noted that the BCI provide the chance to person to decide between previous employment and the legal profession.
