On Wednesday the District judge of Kanpur Mr R P Singh and the Chief Medical Officer visited Naraina Hospital for the treatment of Covid-19, but both got shocked after seeing the disorder in the hospital.
Justice R P Singh tested positive for covid-19 on Sunday. He decided to visit the hospital with the chief medical officer. The CMO informed the manager of the hospital Mr Amit Narain about their arrival for the treatment of covid-19 in the hospital.
When they arrived at the hospital and took the elevator to go on the upper floor. He said that ‘they got stuck for a long time in the elevator”.
When they got out of the elevator, there was no doctor or staff to attend to the patients of covid-19. There is no specialist of covid-19 available to attend justice R P Singh at the hospital.
The families of covid-19 patients present in the hospital also complained about the disorder and negligence on the part of the hospital.
Justice R P Singh ordered the CMO to file a complaint against the doctors and staff of the hospital for negligence.
Complaint filed at Panki police station, Kanpur against the Naraina hospital by the Chief Medical Officer. The case registered under the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and the epidemic disease (amendment) ordinance, 2020 for lack of facilities and negligence in the hospital.
