LAWRENCE BISHNOI WITHDRAWS PLEA FROM DELHI HIGH COURT

Lawrence Bishnoi’s lawyer has submitted to Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma that he would like to withdraw his petition and submit it to the High Courts of Punjab and Haryana. Lawrence Bishnoi, an imprisoned mob suspected of being involved in the murder of Punjab singer Moosewala, he seeks the necessary protection on June 1 for fear of a “wrong encounter” with Punjab police.

 Sanjay Lau, Permanent Advisor to the Government of Delhi, said the petition cannot be upheld in Delhi. A petition to the Delhi High Court confirms that  Tihar Prison Complex and the Delhi Police have taken necessary protective measures, including video recording, before his detention is handed over to  other state police, including Punjab. I was asking for instructions. Bishnoi had previously appealed to the district court here, but he refused to admit his plea.

 On Tuesday after he was detained in Tihar Prison in connection with a case filed under the Maharashtra State Control Organized Crime Prevention Act and arrested under the Weapons Act. He was detained in the Delhi Police Special Prison.

 On May 29, the day after the state government strengthened security measures, Moosewala was shot dead by an unknown assailant in the Mansa district of Punjab. A friend who was traveling with him, his cousin Jeep was also injured in the attack.

 Punjab Prime Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced the establishment of a judicial committee led by an incumbent Supreme Court judge to investigate the killing of 28-year-old Moosewala. Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, known as Sidhu Moosewala, was among the 424 people whose security was temporarily withdrawn or restricted on May 28.

 In a petition filed by Vishal Chopra in the High Court, Bishnoi requested the Tihar Central Prison authorities to brief the lawyer before handing over the detention to another state police with a production warrant. He said he was afraid of encountering by fake Punjab police because of “political instability between the parties there.”

 “Applicant is properly handcuffed, detained and videotaped during arrest warrants and, if issued by Punjab police, to pretrial detention to Delhi  and Tihar prison authorities. Therefore, order to take all necessary security precautions. Warrant for the safety of his life, “reads the petition. At first glance, Punjab police chief V.K.Bhawra claimed that there seemed to be competition between gangsters between the Lawrence Bishnoi group and the Lucky Patial group.  Goldy Brar, a Canadian-based gang, allegedly claimed responsibility for the May 29 murder, saying he and the group Lawrence Bishnoi had planned.
