LAWYER SHOT DEAD IN GHAZIABAD COURT

A lawyer was shot dead at his office in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. Adv Monu Chaudhary  was in his office inside the district court complex and was eating when two men barged in and opened fire. Mr Chaudhary’s bloody body was found lying on a chair.

A complaint has been submitted to the Sihanouk Gate Police Department and the investigation is ongoing, according to which the forensic team has collected evidence and the body has been sent for an medical examination.

 In addition, security footage from CCTV  installed in the court grounds is being secured, said Deputy Commissioner of Police. Initial reports said Mr Chaudhary was shot at 2pm. It is known that the attackers walked to the place and fled after committing the crime.

 The death took place when Western UP lawyers today went on a 24-hour strike to protest clashes between lawyers and police in the  Hapur area of ​​the state. In anticipation of further clashes, police were deployed to all courts and residences in the state.

 However, the fact that armed men broke through this security barrier, killed Mr Chaudhary and then fled has raised questions from the police.
