The case was registered by the police over the video of warning viral on social media in which one person threatened the Chief Justice Of Karnataka High Court  Ritu Raj Awasthi and others of murder. This warning came out of the disaffection over the judgment passed in the Hijab ban case.

Recently the court upheld the guidelines issued by the government to ban the Hijab in educational institutions.

The complaint filed by advocate Umapathi S and Registrar general of Karnataka High court.

In complaint, it mentioned that the video received by Chief Justice Of Karnataka High Court Ritu Raj Awasthi contain a warning of murder made in public by a person, in the video that person is referring to the murder case of a judge in Jharkhand who was killed during the morning walk.
