High courts have ruled that a Muslim girl over the age of 16 has the right to marry a person of her choice. Their marriage was celebrated on June 8, 2022, according to Muslim rituals and rituals. The petitioner’s couple, through a lawyer, claimed that under Islamic law, puberty and majority and a 15-year-old is considered an adult. They further argued that adolescent Muslim boys or girls were free to marry their loved ones and their parents had no right to interfere. The couple also filed a complaint with the Police Senior Superintendent under fear that their lives could be snatched, but no action has been taken so far. the court said: “It is clear by law that the marriage of a Muslim girl is governed by the individual law of Islam. According to Mulla’s book The Principles of Mohammedan Law, female petitioner over the age of 16 has the right to enter into a marriage contract with the person she chooses. Petitioner # 1 (boy) is said to be  21 years of age or older. Therefore, both  petitioners are of marriageable age, as stipulated in the Islamic Personal Law … “
