On Saturday, Government of Jharkhand recommended the investigation by Central Bureau of Investigation. At first Justice Uttam anand death was seen as an accident, but after CCTV footage it seems as a murder and not as an accident. Judge in early morning walking on the edge of the wide road and three wheeler vehicle intentionally hit the judge.

Jharkhand High Court had taken cognizance of the offence on the letter of the principal judge of Dhanbad. The high court ordered for the investigation by Additional Director General of Police in this murder case.
